What My Clients Say

testimonial quote

“Connor’s relaxed, down to earth approach immediately put me at ease during my intro call. I felt safe to open up about thoughts and feelings I had not talked about with anyone. His calm and supportive guidance helped me make progress at a pace that felt comfortable. I was originally unsure about working outdoors because I struggle in an office, but Connor did a great job of ensuring I felt comfortable at all times. My safety and confidentiality were paramount. I also loved that he incorporated hammocks into sessions. Total game changer.”

Outdoor Client

“I hadn’t had the best experience of mental health care. This all changed when I started working with Connor. I finally felt heard and accepted for who I am. He supported me to address my alcohol use, work on traumas that had me a prisoner of my own mind and live life my own way.”

A Few Things You Might Be Wondering

Counselling may be right for you if you are feeling a bit stuck, overwhelmed or simply want space to explore what is on your mind. You do not need to be struggling to come to counselling. Curiosity or simply wanting support can be enough.

Very good question! Choosing the right counsellor is an important part of the counselling process. You should feel comfortable, understood and safe. I have been a client myself and understand the importance of having a good connection.

I offer a free 15 minute introductory call so you can get to know me a bit and ask any questions you may have.

If you decide to book a session after our call, counselling is open ended. This means you can end counselling whenever you wish, even after one session. As we work together, you set the pace.

I offer three ways we can work together: indoor, outdoor and online. If you are not sure what would work best for you, we can discuss this together. There is also no need to pick just one. We can work in a blended way, choosing the setting that suits you best from session to session.

I offer a few different session lengths depending on what feels right for you. Shorter 25 minute sessions are £30 and are available weekly. Standard 50 minute sessions are £50, and longer 75 minute sessions are £70. If you are not sure which option would suit you best, we can discuss this together.

I work with young people aged 12 and over. If you are enquiring on behalf of a young person, I am happy to answer any questions you may have before arranging an introductory call.

What we talk about in counselling is confidential, apart from a few important exceptions relating to safety. I will explain these clearly at the start of our work together, and you are welcome to ask any questions.

I work integratively, which means we can piece together a way of working that is shaped around you, rather than expecting you to fit into one particular counselling style. There is no one size fits all approach to counselling, so our sessions will be guided by who you are, what you need and what feels most helpful for you.

Something I hear a lot is, “I don’t know if I need counselling for this,” “other people have it worse than me,” or “I don’t want to waste a counsellor’s time.” You do not need to be at crisis point or compare what you are going through with anyone else. If something is affecting you, taking up space in your mind or you simply want somewhere to explore it, that is enough. You will never be wasting my time by coming to counselling. You deserve support without needing to prove that things are bad enough first.
